VolleyMetrics has historically been a video-analyst service: someone breaks down film after the match and delivers a report. As of September 2026, Hudl is folding VolleyMetrics into its own platform, and by Hudl's own transition materials the updated features are currently limited to Division I programs and pro teams in North America. Rufio Stats is a different kind of tool: a free app anyone on the bench taps live, during the match.

It's part of a professional pipeline: video capture, an analyst's breakdown, and reports that feed recruiting and opponent scouting at the highest levels. That depth is exactly why, per Hudl's own transition pages, it is currently offered mainly to Division I and pro programs rather than every club or high school team.
Most club and high school teams don't have a video analyst on staff. Rufio Stats gives them the same underlying stats (kills, digs, blocks, aces, rotation and sideout numbers), tapped live by whoever is on the bench, for free.
