Camera and defaults
In the Camera menu, choose Programmed moves to follow the camera changes saved in the play. Choose another view, such as Sideline or Top-down, to keep that view while playing, pausing or scrubbing. Choose Programmed moves again to follow the saved camera changes.
With no saved browser preferences, Rufio Court starts with Blocky players in Team jerseys, an Arena, Sport tile, and the US club indoor ball. Settings > Defaults remembers your choices for new plays. Saved plays and existing browser preferences keep their settings.
First person: through a player's eyes
See the play the way a player sees it: receiving a hard jump serve, or rising to spike a high ball. Open the Camera menu and pick Through the selected player, or Through a player's eyes to choose anyone on court.
- The camera sits at the player's eyes and goes wherever they go: up with a jump, down with a dig. Their own head is hidden, so you see your arms, your platform on the pass, and your hand meeting the ball on the spike.
- Look at: Ball (the eyes follow the ball, smoothly, the way a head turns), Ahead (the way the body faces), or Net (eyes fixed on the net).
- Field of view: wider sees more of the court, narrower feels closer. Tall clips get a wider view automatically.
- The bar at the top shows the speed of the last serve or attack. Press Esc, or tap Exit, to go back to the camera you had.
- In Camera moves (at the bottom of the Camera menu), adding a move while in first person adds a cut into that player's eyes, so a clip can open wide and cut to the passer for the receive.
Watch a First person example
Open Playbook > Quick Plays > First person, then choose Spike a high ball, Read and block or another listed play. Each example starts wide and cuts into a player’s view.
If the camera is moving in a way you did not expect, pick a fixed view from Camera. Select Programmed moves to follow the play’s saved camera changes again.
